When being “experimental” it’s a necessary part of the experiment to fail at some point, if not more often than not.
Usually I’d just scrap the attempt and move on. However in this case I thought I’d quickly sketch out a portrait in a blank space on the page.
As you can see, the ink was running and soaking in when trying to paint the Ferrari badge. It was beyond being salvageable and I was just about to chuck it out when I thought I’d add Enzo Ferrari laughing at my attempt.

I’ve decided to keep it now, not only as a reminder for not painting ink onto damp paper but also because it raises a smile.
