This was a challenging attempt to film the process behind painting a Ferrari engine grille.
The challenge was as much about getting the camera mount to stay in the right position for the time-lapse as it was about concentrating on the painting.
Towards the end I was holding the camera (phone) in one hand and painting with the other whilst with my third hand (wrist, elbow, forearm or anything else) holding the paper.
Hopefully this video link will play properly.
And this is the finished article after a bit of touching up here and there.

That sounds rather stressful but looks like it came out well – especially liking the little highlights on the edges of the lettering. I’ve always admired people who manage to film their process in interesting ways, I would be hopeless at setting that up. Nicely done!

It’s not something I’m about to take up regularly as nearly all of my artworks are ‘by instalments’ but I figured I could get this done in one sitting.
