This silhouette of a weather vane against the branches and roof caught my eye. Logically speaking the branches should all be following roughly the same direction, however at the base of the oak tree, interspersed with the top of an apple tree it made an interesting composition.
I went straight to painting the ink with a long haired brush. I can recommend having a go at this as it really trains you in the art of not pressing too hard. No opportunity to erase and every opportunity to make a mess. It also requires a bit of planning for the white parts, which of course are actively NOT drawn.
